Waverley Communications Ltd has no less than three publications. Between the magazines they cover virtually all aspects of the building profession. The Magazine details and what they have to offer can be found below.
HOUSING ASSOCIATION - HA MAGAZINE
The unveiling of the Housing Corporation’s latest prospectus for the 2008-11
National Affordable Housing Programme (NAHP) sees an £8.4 billion investment to boost the number of homes to be constructed by 50 per cent and
also extends the period covered by the programme to three years for the first time.
The aim of the investment programme is to meet the country’s need for social housing and to tackle other issues such as the creation of sustainable communities through the construction of high quality, green dwellings.
Since the launch of HA Magazine 10 years ago, Editor Bruce Meechan brings his experienced background as a builder and civil engineer to bear, ensuring the readership is fully aware of the new systems and developments relevant to their work.
With a fully controlled circulation profile of 10,939, HA Magazine is published ten times a year in an easy to read tabloid format and is equipped and ready to reflect the rapid growth in affordable housing
REFURB AND REGENERATION - R&R MAGAZINE
During the recession of the early nineties it was RMI work which kept most of the
building industry ticking over. Now as the sector suffers a decline
in new build projects, spending focus is turned to refurbishment and
repair to residential accommodation, schools, office blocks,
hospitals & hotels, largely supported with government funding. Repair and improvement continues to prosper.
Whether a project involves giving new purpose to a listed property or totally redeveloping and regenerating a Brownfield site, there are opportunities for building product suppliers and specialist contractors from right across the construction industry to profit. Refurb & Regeneration magazine will help you access a spend estimated to be above £60 billion for 2009.
MODERN METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION - MMC MAGAZINE
The UK Building Industry is undergoing significant changes in the
manufacture and production of construction methods and systems. With
Government pressure forcing builders and specifiers to create more
economical and energy efficient buildings, Modern Methods of
Construction (MMC) have never been more crucial to the future of the
Construction Industry.
The offsite sector is currently valued at £2.5 billion with a projected yearly growth of 20% due to vast expansion in affordable housing, education, health and hotel sectors.
MMC magazine is the voice of the offsite industry, providing manufacturers and suppliers of new building structures and products the platform to reach the key specifiers across the Social Housing and and commercial building teams.
SCHOOL BUILDING MAGAZINE
'School Building’ is a brand new
magazine, which will enable relevant product suppliers and services to tap into what is an
area of huge potential for the construction market. ‘School Building’
will bring information about products and services to the key decision makers and
named specifier’s that will be driving the ‘Building Schools for the Future’
(BSF) programme forward.
‘Building Schools for the Future’ (BSF) is a government funded programme of rebuilding and renewal, dedicated to ensuring that all state education buildings offer facilities of a 21st century standard. BSF is inclusive of the ‘Primary Capital Programme’. This extensive project is targeted for completion within the next 15 years.
A £45 billion BSF budget contributes to a government capital investment in building structures that is currently running at a higher level than at any other time in the past half century.
Although the significant budget of the BSF does not include Independent Schools, these establishments will also need to match the standards for educational buildings, compelling them to upgrade in order to maintain their profile within their sector. ‘School Building’ also targets these important spend areas.
