The unveiling of the Housing Corporation’s latest prospectus for the 2008-11 National Affordable Housing Programme (NAHP) sees an £8.4 billion investment to boost the number of homes to be constructed by 50 per cent and also extends the period covered by the programme to three years for the first time.

The aim of the investment programme is to meet the country’s need for social housing and to tackle other issues such as the creation of sustainable communities through the construction of high quality, green dwellings.
